To compensate for the extra power, the company's engineers upgraded the braking system and added Bilstein shocks at all four corners to improve handling balance. The Challenger SRT10's interior has been enhanced with a set of sport seats and carbon-fiber trim accents throughout as well as a red engine start push-button in the dash.
The exterior incorporates pieces like the classic Cadillac DeVille tail-lights frenched into the bed corners, a Pontiac G6 folding-glass-panel sunroof, and a CTS-V extractor bonnet scoop. Those drag radials poking out under the rear guards offer a small hint of the wallop under the bonnet.

According to Masters the cylinder head port configuration is identical to the D-shaped ports of an LS7 save for the extra cylinder at each end. Masters says the valvetrain utilizes L92 rocker arms and lifters and the rocker stands are CNC machined. Interestingly the cylinder head gaskets, while they may be one off are stamped 7.5/7.7, as if GM or one of its suppliers had at least gone through the trouble to create tooling to manufacture and even stamp these gaskets like all other OEM LS engine series gaskets. Also curious is the 7.7 in that stamping. That may also indicate that GM had plans for a slightly larger displacement variant of this engine as well, possibly using a longer stroke.
Radium FHSTWhen these BMWs experience high lateral Gs, they inherently suffer from fuel slosh. The FHST is the best solution in preventing fuel starvation. As described below, the FHST pump(s) are supplied with fuel from 3 different sources: the OEM electric "lift" pump, the fuel pressure regulator (FPR), and the integrated 1-way valve.Note that the BMW fuel pump is still retained but is now repurposed as a "lift" pump to fill and maintain volume in the FHST. The lift pump fills the FHST canister through a special orifice in the FHST. This keeps the required pressure for the venturi jet pump(s) to be active and deliver fuel to the lift pump. When a low demand of fuel is present, the FHST canister will overflow back into the LH side of the OEM tank. Fuel will then cycle back into the FHST through a 1-way valve integrated to the bottom of the FHST. Unlike traditional surge tanks that rely heavily on surge tank pump and lift pump flow matching, the FHST uses an extra source that negates this important relationship. No matter what is dynamically changing with the other 2 fuel sources, the high flowing 1-way valve will constantly supply fuel to the FHST canister until the LH side of the gas tank becomes extremely low. At this point, it is up to the lift pump and the FPR to supply the last few ounces of fuel to the FHST.
ElectricalThe custom designed stainless electrical studs easily handle the high current demand that compact bulkhead connectors lack. These serviceable connections are properly sealed and impervious to all standard and exotic fuels. Nonconductive acorn nuts are provided to prevent any accidental short circuiting. Electrical hardware is included for the fuel pump(s) and OEM level sender. Furthermore, the in-tank wiring is insulated with high quality chemically resistant ETFE. These kits include 1 relay, 1 fuse, and all associated wiring and hardware to install 1 surge tank pump.If an extra fuel pump will be installed, purchase a Radium 17-0031 DIY Wiring Kit HERE.
In 2015, the Huracán LP610-4 Spyder was unveiled at the Frankfurt Motor Show and would debut for the 2016 model year. The drop-top shared all the same mechanical underpinnings as the coupé and featured an electrohydraulic soft top. Due to the drop-top mechanism and the extra chassis reinforcements, the Spyder weighed about 120 kg more than the coupé and was also 40% more rigid than its predecessor, the Gallardo Spyder.
Similar to how the Aventador had its SV models, so too would the Huracán get its own rendition of a track-focused variant. Unveiled at the 2017 Geneva Motor Show, the then-latest iteration of the Huracán was dubbed the LP640-4 Performanté. It was produced in both coupé and Spyder (released in 2018) configurations, with the latter weighing around 125 kg more due to the drop-top mechanism and extra chassis reinforcements.
Where other cars with elaborate fixed aerodynamic setups (or primitive active aerodynamics systems) would suffer from drag, the Performanté could be optimized for top speed, while reverting back to a high-downforce setting to provide extra grip when required.
The Lamborghini Huracán STO is the latest of this batch, and also functions as the latest track-focused variant of the Huracán. Too hardcore to simply be considered a replacement for the Performanté (of which an Evo version is likely on the way), the STO possesses remarkable aerodynamic features such as a roof snorkel and extra-large rear wing. Carbon bucket seats with race harnesses also come standard.
The wildness and raw nature of classic Lamborghini cars tend to occupy a sweet-spot amongst an older generation of buyers and enthusiasts. They expect and even desire a Lamborghini to be a handful to control at the limit, and do without refinements in the interest of a more pure driving experience. But more than anything, this is a veiled compliment and acknowledgment of the Huracán's superb road-manners and extraordinary capabilities on the race track.
Note that this is the original Wrangler Unlimited. So instead of four doors, like the current version, it has two doors and a 10-inch wheelbase stretch. That extra length was necessary to accommodate the Viper V-10, according to the seller.
An even sportier interior. The M5 comes with a leather interior in three different colours, which makes it look even more sophisticated than the lavishly equipped basic model or - for an extra price - with a full leather interior, which looks absolutely stunning. Further important differences versus the 5 Series are the instrument cluster, the optional M-specific head-up display, the steering wheel with MDrive buttons and the redesigned centre console.
The weekend before SEMA, on that Saturday, we were all at the shop putting the long list of finishing touches on the car, as it had to be in Vegas the next morning. So that afternoon, we wired up the corner lights and installed the headlights, while SMC finished wrapping some extra panels and applying some decals. 2b1af7f3a8
